چکیده

Abstract Introduction Tympanoplasty is the main treatment of mucosal type chronic suppurative otitis media. Objective The aim present study was to compare clinical outcomes in terms healing and audiological two groups. authors used single layer graft (perichondrium with cartilage island) one group double grafts island composite plus temporalis fascia) were second group. Methods Forty patients complained media safe subtotal perforation subdivided into first author single-layer perichondrium (composite graft) while form perichondrium/cartilage fascia. Results There no significant difference mean Air bone gap (ABG) between pre- post-operative audiometry subjects who had tympanoplasty. a ABG postoperative differences tympanoplasty Also, there tympanic membrane Conclusion by (temporalis fascia tragal cartilage/perichondrium) achieved considerable improvement ™ lower risk for residual or rejection.

A Short-term Comparison Between Result of Palisade Cartilage Tympanoplasty and Temporalis Fascia Technique

Introduction: The use of cartilage as a grafting material has been advocated in cases where there is a high risk of graft failure, such as subtotal perforations, adhesive processes, and residual defects after primary tympanoplasties. The purpose of this study was to compare the graft acceptance rates and auditory outcomes of cartilage tympanoplasty operations using a palisade technique with tho...
